Seventy-two unique pieces of artwork were submitted to LifeLink® of Florida by high school students throughout its 15 county service area in west Central Florida and five designs were chosen to adorn LifeLink holiday cards for the 2019 holiday season, which will be shared with donor family members, transplant recipients, community partners and the public.

“We appreciate all the students who participated in this year’s Art of Donation Holiday Card Contest,” said Liz Lehr, Executive Director of LifeLink of Florida. “There are gifted young artists all around us and we are thrilled so many took the time to participate in this year’s art contest. These images will surely inspire hope for everyone who receives our holiday cards.”

First through third place winners were Alanna Flowers, Bloomingdale High School (Hillsborough County); Sarah Parker, Bloomingdale High School (Hillsborough County); and Jillian Callaway, Springstead High School (Hernando County). They received a $400, $300 and $200 Visa gift card respectively. The Community Choice winner, Connor Bowman, and the Facebook Favorite winner, Christian Valdeos, both attended Springstead High School (Hernando County) and each received a $100 Visa gift card. All of the winners, and nearly all the entries, incorporated the themes of selfless giving and kindness into their designs. The winning pieces can be viewed at www.LifeLinkFoundation.org/ArtOfDonation.
